Jesse R. Butler Certified in Identifying, Investigating & Eliminating Fraud Harming Florida Seniors

The State Attorney’s Office of the 12th Judicial Circuit and the Manatee County Sheriff’s Office have certified that Dickinson & Gibbons partner, Jesse R. Butler, has completed a course on Identifying, Investigating and Eliminating Fraud Harming Florida Seniors.

Andrew L. Douberly Receives Meritorious Public Service Award

Andrew L. Douberly, a partner with Dickinson & Gibbons, P.A., has been recognized for Meritorious Public Service by the Florida Bar. Mr. Douberly received this honor for completing a three year term with the Florida Bar Grievance Committee for the 12th Judicial Circuit. Andy was the Chair of Section 12A of the Committee, which oversees attorney misconduct in Sarasota, Manatee, and Desoto Counties.

Jesse R. Butler Selected as 2020 Florida Bar President’s Pro Bono Service Award Honoree

Jesse R. Butler, a partner with Sarasota law firm Dickinson & Gibbons, P.A., has been selected as the 2020 Florida Bar President’s Pro Bono Service Award honoree for the 12th Judicial Circuit. This award encourages lawyers to volunteer free legal services to those in need by recognizing those who make outstanding public service commitments in each judicial circuit. Mr. Butler will formally receive this award on January 30, 2020 at the Florida Supreme Court.

A. James Rolfes, managing partner of Sarasota law firm Dickinson & Gibbons, P.A., has been re-appointed to the Twelfth Circuit Judicial Nominating Commission by Governor Ron DeSantis. This is Mr. Rolfes’ third term on the Commission where he was selected from a list of nominees submitted by the Florida Bar. He has previously served as chair of the Commission and his new term will run through July 1, 2023. The Judicial Nominating Commission selects nominees to fill judicial vacancies within the Twelfth Judicial Circuit, consisting of Sarasota, Manatee and Desoto counties.

Jesse Butler Receives Pro Bono Award from Legal Aid of Manasota

Dickinson & Gibbons, P.A. appellate and civil trial attorney Jesse R. Butler was honored by Legal Aid of Manasota for his efforts in 2017 in providing pro bono legal services to clients in financial need. A ceremony took place on April 20, 2018 at the Sarasota County Courthouse, which honored the many Sarasota County Bar Association members who provided free legal services to clients that qualified for pro bono legal assistance based on their need and financial hardship. Mr. Butler primarily provided pro bono assistance through the Guardian Ad Litem’s Defending Best Interests project, through which he advocated on behalf of abused and neglected children in termination of parental rights and dependency appeals.
